Amanda Joins The Circus/Keep Your Eye On Amanda

When I was a boy--growing up in the forties--I read serialized stories for kids in the local newspaper. I really loved them. I loved them so much that for many years I had wanted to write a serialized story. Shortly after I moved to Boulder, Colorado, my house was invaded by some raccoons. It gave me the idea for a story--and a serialized story at that. At the same time my eldest step-daughter, Hayden, spoke with some wonderful teen-age slang. Put all this together and I came up with Keep Your Eye On Amanda, which was serialized in newspaper all over the country. That was followed by Amanda Joins the Circus, all read in newspapers.
The project was so successful it lead to the creation of Breakfast Serials, which places serialized stories--by many writers--in newspaper throughout the country.
