There was a time in my life that I used to do a lot of backpacking and camping. One of the places I often went to was in Pennsylvania, in a state park called St. Anthony's Wilderness. (It is said that if you pray to St. Anthony he will help you find things. even your way home. So if this was his wilderness you can imagine how wild it was!) It was one of the strangest places I have ever been. In the midst of this wilderness were the remains of an old town complete with an old grave yard. One stone said, "R.I.P, John Proud." This story is set in that mysterious place and it is all about someone--someone long gone--who was named John Proud. By the way, you can visit the grave site yourself. Who knows what you'll find.
