In-Person Visits
Speaking around the Globe
Avi will spend one, two, or three days in your school or library, speaking with classrooms and assemblies, library programs, and book discussion groups.
In schools, he is most often asked to speak about his journey as a writer, inspiring those who find writing difficult … and finding ways to write that are important to them.
Avi’s message is all about the importance of reading and writing and enjoying both.
A public library often invites Avi to speak with patrons young and old, sometimes sponsoring school visits in the area.
For educators and librarians, Avi often speaks at conferences, festivals, and celebrations.
Here are some possible presentations.
Please inquire about dates, details, and cost. We’ll work with you to arrange Avi’s visit.
Visiting with students in Lititz, Pennsylvania
Librarian Amy Schumacher introduced me to grades 3–4, 5–6, and 7–8 for separate presentations at New Vision Charter School in Colorado.
I enjoyed having a chance to talk with a few of the third and fourth grade students at lunch.
The time spent talking with students as I sign their books is meaningful to me. They’re my readers!
